After washing, gently shake out your piece and bring it back into shape while still damp. Air drying is the gentlest option and helps preserve the fabric for longer. Hang or lay flat depending on the shape of the garment, and keep it away from strong heat and direct sunlight. Skip the tumble dryer where possible, as high heat can cause cotton to shrink and wear faster.
3. finish with care
Cotton may crease along the way, that’s simply part of its natural character. If you prefer a smoother finish, iron or steam your piece according to the care label. Working while the fabric is still slightly damp can make creases easier to release.
