If an item or size you want is currently out of stock, you can leave your email address on the product page by selecting your size. We will notify you as soon as the item becomes available again.
The stock of all items is updated every morning. If the item you are looking for, or a specific size, is no longer available on the webshop, it is unfortunately sold out. If you would like to know whether one of our stores has the item available, please contact our customer service team.
You can find more information about a specific item on the product page. There you will find details such as fabric composition, styling advice, product details and washing instructions.
Most of our collection is produced in Europe, particularly in Italy, Turkey and Portugal, alongside our long-standing partners in India, with whom we have been working since the start of by-bar. Each country brings its own expertise and specialisation to the products we create. At by-bar, building strong, long-term relationships with our suppliers is essential. At by-bar, we focus on creating high-quality pieces designed to last. By using durable materials and contemporary designs, we create garments that can be worn and loved for years. We provide care tips and encourage repair over replacement whenever possible. Looking ahead, we are determined to introduce repair and re-commerce initiatives to further minimise waste and extend the lifespan of our products.
To ensure the longevity of your favourite by-bar pieces, follow these care tips:
- Follow care labels: Always check the care labels on your garments for specific washing and drying instructions.
- Gentle washing: Use a gentle cycle, cold water, and mild detergent to prevent fading and damage.
- Air dry: Air dry items, when possible, to maintain their shape and fabric quality.
- Store properly: Store your clothing in a cool, dry place, using padded hangers for delicate items and fold heavier garments to avoid stretching.
- Repair: Consider repairing minor damages rather than discarding items. We are here to help with advice.
By following these tips, you can help extend the lifespan of your by-bar items and enjoy them for years to come.
ordering
You do not need to create an account to place an order. You can simply fill in your details during the checkout process and your order will be processed.
You can remove items or adjust the quantity of products on the shopping bag page by clicking on the shopping bag icon at the top right of the website. You can also make changes during the checkout process.
You can change the delivery address during checkout before placing your order.
Once an order has been completed, it is no longer possible to add an item, change the size or make any other adjustments. In this case, a new order will need to be placed.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to cancel or change your order once it has been processed.
You can pay using iDEAL, PayPal, credit card (Mastercard and Visa), Bancontact, gift card or Fashioncheque.
You can enter your discount code during checkout under the heading “Discount code or gift voucher.” Please make sure to check the specific conditions of the code.
The code of your gift card can be entered during checkout under “Gift card or discount code.” Please copy the code exactly as shown in the email, as a zero (0) can sometimes be mistaken for the letter O, and the letter I can look like an L. Also make sure there are no spaces before or after the code. If the code still does not work, please contact our customer service team or visit the giftcard page for more information.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay afterwards.
shipping
Unfortunately, this is not possible. To ensure your order is delivered as quickly as possible, we start processing it straight away. Once your order has been placed, we are unable to make any changes.
If you’re not at home when the delivery driver arrives, they will first try to deliver your parcel to your neighbours. You will receive a note in your mailbox letting you know where your parcel has been delivered. If delivery to your neighbours is not possible, your parcel will be available at the nearest ServicePoint on the next working day.
After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation. Once your parcel has been collected by DHL or DPD, you will receive an email with a track & trace code. This allows you to follow your order and see when to expect delivery.
We prepare every order with great care. Orders placed before 15:00 on a working day are usually delivered the next day. Orders placed over the weekend will be shipped on the next working day. For customers in Belgium, or during busy periods, delivery may take a little longer. We always aim to deliver your order as quickly as possible.

We take great care in the development, quality and finishing of our products. However, if something hasn’t gone as expected, we will of course work with you to find a suitable solution.
returning
We hope you love your by-bar purchase. If something isn’t quite right, you can return your item within 14 days of receipt. Please ensure the item is unworn and undamaged.
Returns must be registered via the by-bar online returns portal. We offer a low-cost return service. You can also choose to drop off your parcel at our warehouse.

You will find the reference number at the bottom of your packing slip. Please note that the packing slip number and reference number are different codes.
You can drop off your return at our head office on working days between 09:00 and 17:00, after registering your return via the portal.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to return webshop orders in our brand store.
Yes, you can return multiple orders in one parcel, as long as the returns for each order have been registered in the returns portal. This allows us to process your return quickly and correctly.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and depend on the shipping method you choose. We are aware of the impact the fashion industry has on the environment. By making conscious choices and returning only when necessary, we can work together towards a more responsible future.
It is not possible to exchange an item. However, you can return the item and place a new order. The purchase amount will be refunded within 5 working days to the original payment method.
Once we have received your return, we will start processing it. Returns are usually processed within 1–2 working days. During busy periods, such as sales or holidays, processing times may be slightly longer. Thank you for your understanding.
Once your return has been received and processed, you will receive a confirmation email. The refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please note that the refund may appear under the name Stichting Mollie Payments or shopify payments.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, you can unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of any email. After clicking the unsubscribe link, you will be redirected to a page where you can share your reason for unsubscribing. From that moment on, you will no longer receive emails from us. If you change your mind, you can always sign up again via our website.

At by-bar, we are committed to using our business as a force for good by taking responsibility for our impact on the planet, people, and products we create. Becoming B Corp in July 2024 marks a milestone in our journey toward rigorous social and environmental standards. Aware of the fashion industry's impact, we work closely with our partners to continually reduce our footprint and pursue ambitious sustainability goals, driving us to seek responsible alternatives for a more sustainable future.
This means we meet high standards for social and environmental impact across five key areas: governance, environment, workers, customers, and community. Additionally, it reflects our commitment to using business as a force for good. Being a B Corp is a milestone we are very proud of, but it is certainly not the end goal. It provides our team and our partners with a shared purpose and motivation to continually improve.
by-bar’s commitment to reducing our environmental footprint starts with measurement. Each year, we track our Scope 1 and 2 emissions, covering direct emissions from our office, stores, and business travel. To offset these emissions, we invest in a Climate Neutral Group project and have made additional improvements, such as switching to renewable energy for our warehouse.
Our roadmap includes plans to measure our Scope 3 emissions, our main challenge, at both total and product levels. Scope 3 covers emissions outside our direct control, primarily from our supply chain. In preparation, we are already taking meaningful steps to reduce these emissions, such as reducing air shipments, increasing our use of low-impact materials, and implementing low-impact packaging.
Since the beginning of 2024, we partnered with tex.tracer, a transparency platform that enables us to map the entire journey of our products, from cotton field to the final item, working closely with our suppliers at each stage. Starting next summer, many of our products will feature a QR code, allowing you to trace their journey. This approach lets us share our transparency efforts and gives you an inside look into each product's story!
Each season, we set goals to increase our use of low-impact materials, such as recycled, organic, and upcycled fibres. We use a fibre index to identify the most sustainable options, allowing us to make conscious choices that reduce our environmental footprint. Currently, 31% of our collection is made from lower-impact materials, and our upcoming Spring/Summer collection will raise this to 46%. We are committed to increasing this percentage annually.
Customers can contribute to sustainability by choosing quality, conscious made clothing and extending each item's life through care, repair, and recycling. At by-bar, we offer tips to make products last. Look for our 'conscious choice' logo online for lower-impact items and use our size guide to reduce returns. When it is time to part with a piece, consider reselling, donating, or passing it on to someone who will enjoy it. Making conscious choices can make a big impact.
Tex.tracer is a transparency platform that enables brands to trace the full journey of their products, from raw materials to finished goods, supporting transparency and sustainability. With Tex.tracer, customers can access detailed information about the materials and processes behind each product. From next summer (2025), many products will feature a QR code, enabling consumers to make informed choices about the environmental impact of their purchases.
